School trips to Venice
Few cities on the planet inspire a desire to learn and explore in the way that Venice does. Its intricate network of canals, bridges, sprawling piazzas and incredible architecture combine to form a city that has no equal in appearance or feeling.
A school trip to Venice offers the opportunity for art students to scour the collections of Bellini, Titian and Giorgione – masters of the hugely influential Venetian artistic style. The endless streets and precincts are also home to a wealth of world class sculptures, contemporary galleries and traditional churches – just make sure your pupils don’t forget their sketchbook!
If you’re looking for more information or free advice on planning your next Venice school trip, get in touch with one of our expert travel advisors today. Our trips to Venice are part of a wide selection of school trips to Italy that we offer.

Galleria dell Accademia
The finest of many art collections in Venice. The Accademia hosts the most important collection of paintings of the Venetian school. An impressive, small museum on the Grand Canal. The permanent collection is a wonderful insight into modernist development at the beginning of the 20th century. Worth seeing are the Cubist pieces by Picasso, Dalí, Ernst and Magritte. Don’t miss the beautiful Boccioni painting ‘Materia’ (1912), a highlight of the futurist movement.

Described as the most exotic of Europe’s cathedrals this monument is made unique by both its wealth of history and the magnificence of its façade and interior. In essence, it is a splendid workshop, where, through the centuries, worked great Italian and European artists.
